Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams were on the road on Monday night. Each squad was in Miami, Okla., to take on Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
The Allen Community College men’s soccer team prevailed 1-0.
The Red Devils broke the scoreless game early in the second half with a Kaleb Harris goal.
Harris scored off a free kick about 25 yards away from the goal.
That was all goalkeeper James Everett needed as the redshirt freshman posted his first shutout of the year.
Unfortunately for Allen, the women’s team did not have as much luck facing off against the Golden Norsemen.
The Lady Red Devils lost 3-0 on Monday night to drop to 3-3 on the season.
NEO entered the game as the No. 17 team in the nation and its defense proved a difficult test for ACC.
Goalkeeper Emilee Mitchell recorded three saves while allowing three goals.
The women will play its next match at home against Hesston on Thursday at 2 p.m.
The men’s team will also face Hesston at home on Thursday. Its game begins at 4 p.m.
